Navratras 2019

NAVRATRA:- Navratras belongs to nine night. This nights are celebrated in chaitra and ashawani Indian months. Navratras are celebrated in the worship of goddess Ma Shakti Durge.

Nine Nights:-

·      Each night is devoteed to each goddess .

·      9 night is dedicated to 9 different forms of shakti godess.

·      1^st navratra is dedicated to Shailputri.

·      2^nd navratra is dedicated to Brahmacharini.

·      3^rd navratra is dedicated to Chandragantha.

·      4^th is dedicated to kushmanda.

·      5^th is dedicated to Skandamata.

·      6^th is dedicated to Katyani mata.

·      7^th is dedicated to Kalaratri.

·      8^th navratra is dedicated to Mahagauri.

·      9^th is dedicated to Siddhidatri.

Different forms of celebrations of navratras:-

·      Some  parts of India like gujrat celebrates these navratraas by dancing Dandiaa dance.This form of dance is most famous in all world.

Dandiaa celebrations:- Dandiaas are bamboo sticks which is held by dancers and on trumph of dholak and sangeet dancers hit their bamboo sticks with others dancer bamboo sticks. Dancers swirl around in circle and dance with enthusiasm .

Dresses of dancers are also shows gujrati culutre and tradition.

·      Ashawani magh navratraas also celebrated with picturisation of Rama life by Ramleela.

·      Temples are decorated with fruits and flowers and lighting. This decoration of temples gives a pious feeling and atmosphere in all over is imbued with smell of sweet fregnence of agarbatiis and kaphoor.

·      In morning and at night special aartees are sung in the keensheep of goddess Durga. At the end of aartee prasadam is distributed among devotees.

·      People follow vratas in respect of goddess Durga. They just eat fruits and juices and potatoes in their vratas. At night they eat “ kitu ka atta” chapaties because people don’t eat wheat chapatees in their vrats.

·      Most of the people organize zagrata at home oe publically. In this jagraatas song of goddess Durga is sung by singers.

RAM LEELA

                              RAM LEELA 

Ram Leela is part and parcel of india and its culture. It is 9 days stage presentation of Shree Ram Ji life in a dramatic forum. Indian people see this Ram Leela with very enthusiasm and have sacred feeling because , Hindu maha granth Ramayan is based on life of Shree Rama.

RAM LAXMAN

Actors takes part in Ram Leela mostly are male. They play even female role. Presentation is very interesting and live example of india culture.

Rehearsal : it is pre practice of roles done by actors so that they can perform flawless presentation on stage. This rehearsal is started 25days before the starting of Ram Leela.

Some facts about Ram Leela :

• From the first navratra of ashwin magh Ram Leela starts.
• Ram Leela goes on for 9 days and on vijay dashmi Ravana efigi is burnt by Shree Ram ji.   
• First day of Ram Leela starts with sharvan drama.
• Second day of Shree Ram janam.
•  Third day is Sita swayamvar.
•  Fourth day is Ram vanvas
•  Fifth day is Ram van gaman
•  Sixth day is bharatmilap, sita haran
•  Seventh day is bali sugreev mitarta ,lanka dahan
•  Eight day is lakshman murcha and megnadh vadh
•  9th day is ravan vadh

• 10th day is ravan dahan  

 Interesting characters :

VAN GAMAN

• Shree Hanumaan ji because this character is very mischievous and pious and powerfull and has the ability to fly.
• Tadka ( rakshsi) this character is also very interesting because this character seems to be dangerous and horrible.
• Shrupnakha.....this character symbolism of today dancing heroin which has awesome beauty and wicked feeling.
• Lakshman...this character has a unique personality. This character cut nose of Shrupnakha.
• Maarich....this character make deer forum and accompany Ravan in his plan of sita haran.
• Ram Leela most powerful character is none other than Maharaja Ravan. This character is dashing.
• Bhilni , sugreev and Baali , Vanar sena , kekai , Dashrath, janak, Sita others characters have also their unique footprints.

Ram Leela is in reality india heart of festivals. When there was no t.v then this Ram Leela was the most entertaining means for people. People used to wait eagerly for this Ram Leela every year.

   
     
       

Janmastmi

Janmastmi is india most favourite festivals. It is also called gokul ke gwale ka prakat divas.
       This year in 2019 janmastmi is being celiberated on 23 & 24 august . Govt. has declared holiday on 23rd August 2019 but will be celebrated on 24th of august.
On this day india temles are decorated with lights to make glorify of kanha ji birthday.
Mathura and gokul are the centre point of everyone because shree Krishna birth place is gokul and karamsthali is mathura. There are very heart throbing temples in mathura and nearby which is called krishna janamsthali.
Dahi handi: it is also associated with this festival .In this dahi haandi is hooked on height and gwalas together try to broke the haandi with their feast of hand.people really enjoy this festival. On janmastmi night there is celebration in all over india and abroad also.
People take prasad of chrnamerit at 12.am and open thrir varta.
India people spiritual feeling: in india krishna is given lord place. Krishna is incarnation of yogi. Because krishna has given Geeta Gyan to this world and this Gyan is followed by most of the world......DO YOUR WORK , DONT THINK ABOUT FRUIT.

Sweets related to this festival: coconut burfi( coconut fruit crush and milk) , mungfali(groundnut) gajak , ghewar , rasogula.
