Navratras 2019

NAVRATRA:- Navratras belongs to nine night. This nights are celebrated in chaitra and ashawani Indian months. Navratras are celebrated in the worship of goddess Ma Shakti Durge.

Nine Nights:-

·      Each night is devoteed to each goddess .

·      9 night is dedicated to 9 different forms of shakti godess.

·      1st navratra is dedicated to Shailputri.Image result for shailputri

·      2nd navratra is dedicated to Brahmacharini.

·      3rd navratra is dedicated to Chandragantha.

·      4th is dedicated to kushmanda.

·      5th is dedicated to Skandamata.

·      6th is dedicated to Katyani mata.

·      7th is dedicated to Kalaratri.

·      8th navratra is dedicated to Mahagauri.

·      9th is dedicated to Siddhidatri.

Different forms of celebrations of navratras:-


·      Some  parts of India like gujrat celebrates these navratraas by dancing Dandiaa dance.This form of dance is most famous in all world.
Dandiaa celebrations:- Dandiaas are bamboo sticks which is held by dancers and on trumph of dholak and sangeet dancers hit their bamboo sticks with others dancer bamboo sticks. Dancers swirl around in circle and dance with enthusiasm .
Dresses of dancers are also shows gujrati culutre and tradition.

·      Ashawani magh navratraas also celebrated with picturisation of Rama life by Ramleela.
·      Temples are decorated with fruits and flowers and lighting. This decoration of temples gives a pious feeling and atmosphere in all over is imbued with smell of sweet fregnence of agarbatiis and kaphoor.
·      In morning and at night special aartees are sung in the keensheep of goddess Durga. At the end of aartee prasadam is distributed among devotees.
·      People follow vratas in respect of goddess Durga. They just eat fruits and juices and potatoes in their vratas. At night they eat “ kitu ka atta” chapaties because people don’t eat wheat chapatees in their vrats.
·      Most of the people organize zagrata at home oe publically. In this jagraatas song of goddess Durga is sung by singers.
